You travel with your own licensed English-speaking guide, driver and vehicle, on an itinerary built around your dates, pace and interests. Bhutanese-owned and booked direct: our own staff and contacts in every district, nothing outsourced. Pricing is all-in and itemised — the USD 100 per night Sustainable Development Fee, the USD 40 visa, guide, private vehicle, hotels, all meals and entry fees, flights quoted separately. A private trip runs USD 250–450 per person per day; our published packages bracket that at USD 1,400–1,850 per person for 6 days and USD 1,950–2,550 for 8 days. Cultural: the classic 7-day western loop — Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, Dochula Pass and the Tiger's Nest hike. Festivals: private tours around the Paro Tshechu each spring, five days of masked dance below Rinpung Dzong, plus the Thimphu, Punakha, Wangdue and Bumthang tshechus. Treks: the Druk Path, eight days from Paro to Thimphu between 2,200 m and 4,210 m with our own camp crew; also Jumolhari, Dagala Thousand Lakes, Laya-Gasa and the Snowman. Other comments about your business you wish to share?How a trip with us comes together: tell us your dates and interests and we send a day-by-day itinerary with an all-in price, revised as often as you like before you commit to anything. Once a trip is confirmed we apply for your visa — USD 40, approved in about five to six working days, passport valid six months — and book your Drukair or Bhutan Airlines seats. Every international flight lands at Paro, with daily connections from Bangkok, Delhi and Kathmandu. Costs worth knowing before you plan: the Sustainable Development Fee is USD 100 per night, confirmed at that rate to 31 August 2027. Children under 6 pay none and ages 6 to 11 pay half. Guests from India pay Nu./INR 1,200 per night instead. Hotels start at three-star and upgrade to heritage and luxury properties — hotel standard and party size move the price far more than anything else does. Travel insurance is recommended but no longer compulsory; Bhutan dropped the requirement in April 2024. When to come: October is the clearest month, May and November the quieter picks, and the western valleys stay comfortable right through winter.
