What makes you different from other guides? Why should someone hire you?In my journey as a Tour Guide, upgrading my skills and knowledge has always been my priority. I proudly represent my country, showcasing its rich culture and natural beauty with the utmost kindness, love, and compassion. My adaptability ensures that I cater to the diverse needs of all guests, providing keen observations tailored to their interests. I make sure everything goes smoothly and offer flexibility to accommodate their choices. My social intelligence and genuine interest in people help me connect deeply with every traveler, creating authentic experiences. Moreover, I excel at entertaining children and caring for older adults, ensuring everyone’s comfort and enjoyment. I have attended Tour Leader Training organized by G Adventures from Canada. I have also been certified in First Aid and safety, the flora and fauna of Bhutan, Gross National Happiness, Buddhism, meditation, and mindfulness living. Moreover, I attended the Advanced Tour Guide Course organized by the De-suung Office. This course helped me refresh the fundamentals of tour guiding and develop my communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Specializing as a cultural and trekking guide, I bring over 18 years of guiding experience and fluency in English to offer enriching and engaging adventures.
Other comments about your guiding service? As a leading guide, my duty to emphasize professionalism and responsibility includes ensuring good teamwork dedicated to providing excellent service to my guests. This involves coordinating hotel staff, porters, restaurant staff, and trekking staff to work as a cohesive unit. Moreover, I prioritize the well-being of our drivers, making sure they have enough rest and good sleep. I have also had the opportunity to lead key promotional media and journalists from around the world to Bhutan. Some of these groups include: - BBC Fast Track by Carmen Roberts - The Soup Spoon with Master Chef Anna Lim, exploring Bhutanese cuisine - National Geographic photographer Ciril Jazbec from Slovenia, focusing on melting glaciers and climate change Some of the most memorable groups I have led and that have inspired me in my career include: - David Suzuki Foundation group from Canada, specializing in environmental conservation and responsible tourism - Rufus Reade Tours from Scotland, specializing in tours of eastern Bhutan and promoting community tourism - Cultural, Yoga, Pilates, and Mindfulness tours with Dehressa Sim @zenithpilateskl, featuring sound bathing (singing bowl), meditation, and mindfulness living
