What makes you different from other guides? Why should someone hire you?I have a Bachelor of Arts in English Studies and a 2-year Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality, specializing in Tourism Management. I am trained not only in tourism but also in hospitality. While traveling is my passion, gaining experience through learning is my interest. Thus, I have learned more about Bhutan's travel culture through personal exploration rather than relying solely on formal training.
Other comments about your guiding service?Despite my background in cultural guiding, I have also developed skills in bird-watching. I attended a training organized by the Tourism Council of Bhutan (now the Department of Tourism) in 2019. Additionally, I have assisted many trekking groups as an assistant cook and guide out of personal interest, sometimes without a Daily Subsistence Allowance (DSA) to gain more experience. Furthermore, I worked as a Travel Consultant for Ethometho Tours and Treks, where I gained insight into the key areas of interest for clients. My diverse skills in cultural guiding, bird-watching, trekking, and travel consulting will undoubtedly enhance my guiding journey.
