What makes you different from other guides? Why should someone hire you?Today being a guide, I feel proud to explore my carbon negative country to the outside world following the philosophy of Gross National Happiness. Being with guest on the day of arrival, I always assure to let them know what to do and what not to do during their stay in Bhutan.
I always make sure of good commentary, listen to them and answer the questions, entertain during the journey, smooth flow of the trip and shouldering the responsibility of their safety in coordination with driver to reach at the destination.
Though the guide life is challenging, one should always have a set of skills and passion for the travel. It is also a great opportunity to connect with new people around the globe and experience one's culture. To be a successful tour guide, individual must possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, cultural knowledge, and the ability to adapt to different preferences and needs.
